North county, close to home
Marysville sits just north of Everett across the Snohomish River delta. Arlington lies farther north, where the North and South Forks of the Stillaguamish River meet. Together they offer farmland, riverside parks and walkable small downtowns, with the Cascade foothills rising to the east.
Weddings up here tend to feel personal. Backyard ceremonies, family farms and celebrations where half the guests have known each other since grade school. That’s exactly the kind of day I love to photograph.
Engagement session spots
Ebey Waterfront Park, Marysville
A park along Ebey Slough with water, trail and wide-open sky. Simple, clean and beautiful in evening light.
Downtown Arlington and the Centennial Trail
The Centennial Trail runs right through downtown Arlington, so you can pair small-town storefronts with a tree-lined trail in one easy session.
Along the Stillaguamish
River stones, evergreens and moving water. Riverside sessions feel adventurous without needing a hike.
Skagit Valley tulips
Every April the tulip fields of the Skagit Valley bloom about a half hour north of Arlington, and daffodils usually come first in March. Bloom timing shifts with the weather, and many fields charge admission, so we plan these sessions close to the date and go early to beat the crowds.
Timing and light
North county has a little more open sky than the city, which means long, golden evenings in summer. Around the solstice, sunset arrives after 9 p.m. For spring sessions, I watch the forecast with you and pick the softest light of the day.

Getting married somewhere else?
I photograph weddings all over Snohomish County and Washington, and I’m happy to travel.
